High-quality, acid-free backing board. Perfect for those pictures you want to preserve for generations.

Acid and lignin are found naturally in wood. Paper is made from wood pulp. These substances accelerate the ageing of paper. To avoid your photos or prints turning yellow and becoming brittle, choose a backing board from which these substances have been removed. Replace your existing backing board with an acid-free one. To do this, just open the frame, remove the existing backing board, insert your new, acid-free one, and close the frame. Your photos or prints are not protected against ageing.

A standard backing board in a finished photo frame is not acid-free. (This is not true of our custom-made picture frames, which always contain an acid-free backing board).

Note that wall mounts are only included with boards up to 40x50 cm.
