Sometimes we are asked why the frame is made of oak veneer and not solid oak if it is to be a quality frame. The reason for this is that it is difficult to achieve a controlled surface when dealing with real Oak as there are often colour variations in different parts of the wood, which in some contexts is suitable. But on a frame, it just risks looking like parts of the frame are discoloured.
By using a real oak veneer consisting of a thin layer of real Oak, you get the perfect oak colour you are after. Veneer can sometimes have a bad reputation, but a fine veneer like this only has advantages and gives an authentic and genuine result.
